Responders to Warmth, originally funded by Lincolnshire County Council and the Lincolnshire Community Foundation, is now operational. Over the last year the scheme answered over 1,800 calls from people looking for help and advice.
Arthur, aged 89 from south Lincolnshire lives with a solid fuel heating system, and is surrounded by logs his home care assistant leaves for him to stoke the fire. He suffers recurring ill health, cannot bend easily and suffers with the cold and has no means of heating his hot water adequately. He does not have a gas main and cannot be supported by a fuel company eco grant. R2W is assisting him, but how many Arthurs are out there who need support where non exists?
